Default Noise when depressing brake or clutch

I am getting a squealing sound when I depress either the clutch or brake pedal. It is most noticable at idle when not moving. I greased the fittings on the pedal arms and it didn't help. Any ideas?

Simple check first, are the floor plates too close to the pedals, this will happen a lot the way you describe it,,
