The A-17019 Tire Iron...
Contained in the October 1, 1928 and June 1, 1929 Parts Price List under the TOOLS section is a picture of the A-17019 Tire Iron.
Does anyone have one of these and could it have also been part of the tool kit for a short time in 1928-1929? Thanks. Pluck |

Pluck, any way to post a picture of the page? I do not have either one of those parts books, but several different tire irons. Rod

Re: The A-17019 Tire Iron...
I learned it as the following two were correct. The first with the flared ends are a carry over from the T, and the second was the short lived A tire iron. the tire iron shown in the Oct 28 parts book is in error (sorry no picture, and I've never found one)...fwiw,jm

Posting photos here is easy, sure wish I could say for the "improved" eBay system.

Re: The A-17019 Tire Iron...
There was (from what I have read) three different irons with the last going from mid 29-34 I believe. If you don't find it before then, I will be home on Thursday and have them (and dates) in a book.

Re: The A-17019 Tire Iron...
That tire iron pictured looks like the Model TT truck [ TT 4069?] iron. I have one of these with Ford script & part no.
Ford Canada probably carried on issuing Model T style irons[ double ended] for Model A according to their parts books & they are the ones found here; some I have are 7/8" wide as well as Model T width of 3/4". They were also issued in 1928 in US production according to US tool experts. |
