Default 1928 Radiator Cap

On my recently acquired '28 Phaeton, it is missing the radiator cap. The neck is shorter that later production so the aftermarket caps won't fit. The gas cap is early and doesn't have the "skirt" on the bottom and will fit the radiator. Is this typical of the early "28 and if so is there a source for a replacement cap without buying another radiator?
Thanks!

Try Dan Bixby and see if he has a restored original for sale. He goes by Phonconn on here and his phone number is 816-213-8437.

Looks to be an original radiator with the funnel type water outlet at the top. Car was originally from South America and has a 10 of '28 stamp on the gas tank and engine number to match. Just need a good used cap if possible. Am I correct that the early cap differs from the later?
Thanks!

Hi, Yes the EARLY cap does differ, it has a low profile to it. But I dont if it should go on a 10th month made car, but being from S/A Who knows.. I have no problem putting either one on my 8-22-28 with an original round radiator, But the early style did not come on it USA made..

Thanks! The gas cap is definitely different than any I've seen in the past. Has the look more of a crown than the normal cap. The car also has the split brake actuator linkage under the floor attaching to a link just above the trans. Was origanaly a right hand tail light off the body, uses the powerhouse generator (I think 3 brush? No brushes included). Has the front mounted squeeze brake handle and red steering wheel.
