1939 Ford standard condenser replacement
Hello, I have a 1939 ford standard with the 85 horsepower flathead v8 engine. I am hoping to get some advice on how the condenser is removed. I can not see a way to get to the bottom flathead screw that holds it in place. Any advice would be helpful.

If you have an authentic coil and condenser, you'll need to remove the right hand - top bolt that goes through the condenser ground strap, the distributor and timing gear cover in to the block. It's much easier to remove the lower radiator pan and access the bolt from the bottom. Remove the wire to the coil as well as the two screws that hold the coil to the distributor first , then remove the aforementioned bolt. I have found a 1/2" dedicated swivel socket - 1/4" drive and a short extension work best...
