One good takeaway from that video is that there must be a ton of real nice original fenders out there someplace!

Strip out a good car on Sat AM, throw the parts over the banking at the farm and be racing Saturday night ! Those were the days I remember, great memories for sure.

Re: Where have all the 34 roadsters gone ?
I think there are more 1933 1934 Ford Roadster out there than anyone would believe. From selling reproduction Roadster parts I get to talk to many owners. And here is what I have found out. Many guys are proud to let everyone know they have one. But many keep it under there hat because they do not want guys to keep badgering them to sell there car. Many are in the hands of owners that are not well healed enough to afford to restore there cars so they remain covered in the garage and forgotten. Some are in the hands of older guys who will never restore but want to pass the car down to a son or daughter. And still some are aquired in pieces with many more parts needed. Something for the future we never hear about. And of course lots are made into hot rods.
I do not believe many were ever scrapped. If they did wind up in a scrap yard they were quickly purchase and removed by some young guy want to build a rod. Some thing many owners have mentioned to me. This car was just to beautiful to be destroyed Bill Monzo Last edited by 34FordFabricator; 02-01-2020 at 01:02 PM. |

There was a Chevy Roadster in there too. Of course that Stovebolt was getting lapped by a V8. LOL! |

A real workout of chassis and seat springs on that course.
Bill, I agree with you. I've had seven of them over the years. |

What great footage! No roll bars and sitting high in the seats. Those drivers must have been pelted with rocks. I can't imagine a rollover! I don't know if it was safer to be thrown out of the car or just duck down and hold on tight.

I'm of the opinion that this statement applies to all body styles of the '33/'34 Fords...

This one showed up In New Zealand on our Craigs List equivalent .
Is Australian bodied so different form US ones . Judging form the photos it would take a bit of money to get it were I would want it -but then I like them looking original -Karl https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/spe...32af70d8c5-002
