Default 97 rebuild?

Does anyone on the west coast rebuild 97's.

I've never had a car that required an Stromberg 48 or 97. I have however seen an Uncle Max 48 in my hands that a friend had done. Holy Cow was it a nice job! It was so nice it would have been worthy as museum piece.

Yup, I'll agree that he knows how to make a Stromberg run good and look even better !
Had Max do three 81s that topped off a polished 3 pot zephyr engine zephyr intake...BLING !!!
I think that there still are people who's work says...buy American !
Getting ready to see what he can do with two '48s !

I've had a few guys rebuild some carbs. Best I had was a race guy local fl. Wrong coast. Bought a new english 97 and its doing its job, no issues.

Uncle Max did my three 97's for my 8-BA flathead. I gave him the engine specs for the modifications and he set them up with the correct jet sizes etc. Shipped them back to me and I put them on. Started right up and with very little tweaking I was up and running. That was about four years ago and I'm still a happy cruiser.
