I've never had a car that required an Stromberg 48 or 97. I have however seen an Uncle Max 48 in my hands that a friend had done. Holy Cow was it a nice job! It was so nice it would have been worthy as museum piece.

Uncle Max did my three 97's for my 8-BA flathead. I gave him the engine specs for the modifications and he set them up with the correct jet sizes etc. Shipped them back to me and I put them on. Started right up and with very little tweaking I was up and running. That was about four years ago and I'm still a happy cruiser.
