Today my Friend and I pulled the valves, cam & lifters then replaced the timing gears, lifters with the double nut adjustable, brought the seats back to the correct angle and then lapped in all the valves, tomorrow we will install and adjust the valves. Here are some pictures

Tore the engine down checked all babbits and all have shims and plenty of life, actually like "NEW", I installed adjustable lifters, springs, and valves. and ran on the test stand. Here is the link.

I now have two complete running engines, and I mean complete right down to the generator and may consider selling one so if anyone needs one let me know

Aloha chuck
really sounds and runs well..you probably found an old one that was maintained instead of being run into the ground like most of these were before the war was over. Hope you find a buyer..i'm sure you will.

Hi Don, Not really trying to sell engine, but I now have two complete running engines and if someone really needs one and makes a fair offer I will let one go, I am what you would call a "Horder" but willing to help out a fellow Model A'er
