What does C-rations and the sleeping bag have in common? C-ration Ham & Lima Beans officially change the name of the sleeping bag to the "Fart Sack".

There's still farms in Newbury park? I lived on Verna off Wendy drive in the early 80's when I was stationed at Hueneme. We'd have field exercises at Broom ranch. The c-rats we got then had a pack of 3 o.d. Green cigarettes in them.
I thought broom ranch would be all houses now.

BLGITIN,
While cuttin' fire wood in our REMOTE Sierra Mountains, found a "C" ration fruitcake in a Sardine lookin' can, WITH A "KEY" opener, it was GOOD! Reminds me of a "TIP" I read, "If you,re a HUNTER, DON'T buy a CAMOFLAUGED (SP?) WALLET
Speaking of O.D, a friend was a HONCHO in the motor pool, got into MUCHO trubble, whin he CLEAR COATED his JEEP, to make it "SHOW" worthy "They" made him re-do it on his OWN TIME

Rather than glue, I use vinyl cling film which you can get at most craft stores. Just cut a piece big enough to cover the ration sticker and still have a 1/4 - 1/2 inch border to cling to the inside of the windshield.

It leaves no sticky mess. You do have to make sure the glass is good and clean before it will stick.

Bill,
Back then mini-mag lights were the cool thing to have. Some of my friends got camoflage ones and lost them in the weeds!

I've nothing against Lima Beans. I even cook up a pot of Ham Hocks and Butter Beans now and then, Butter Beans are large Lima Beans but Ham and Lima Beans, GI issue C-Ration fermented for 10 plus years and beans that ferment have one helleva affect on the bowels. One had to make sure a slit trench or the latrine was close by...or your buddies steal pot!!!!
