aftermarket key switch wiggle
As I was out driving the Model A this morning putting a smile on the faces of my fellow jersey shore town residents, all fell silent and power was lost. The engine died, and as I was coasting to the side of the county road, 15 miles from home, my brain went into overdrive as to what the problem could be. Just as I was coming to a stop I saw the key switch was just short of being horizontal. I touched it and let the clutch out and she fired right off. I continued on my drive with a large knowing grin on my face. This trouble shooting solution has been discussed on the forum before, and today I experienced it first hand. I'm confident I would have found the problem, but Ford Barn saved me time and frustration keeping my Saturday morning chi going. Thanx

Re: aftermarket key switch wiggle
Isn't it hard to believe they can't make a simple OFF-ON switch that clicks and stays in position?
Instead you get a loose fitting turn of the key and hope the contacts touch. |

Re: aftermarket key switch wiggle
That's why I went to a toggle switch instead of the aftermarket or really expensive pop-out. I made a bracket the hides it under the dash--kind of my own antitheft solution and it cost 3.99.
