Default Headlight socket restoration

How does one replace the wiring going to the spring loaded headlight socket contacts? Are these crimped onto the wire or soldered? Also, is there any source for the insulator base in the socket? Thanks.

You're talking about the wiring that's inside the headlight bucket, correct? Not the wiring coming from the main harness.

Soldered. Get one of the cheap third hand stands with clips. Remove the contacts and insulator from the socket. Place a check contact in a clip. Heat the contact with a solder gun while pulling on the wire until it comes out of the receiver. Fill the receiver with molten solder and put the new wire in. I’ve totally given up on reproduction sockets.

You may be able to swap the insulator from a new socket into the headlight socket. For the conduit socket you're probably SOL.
