Grandparents had a cabin in northern Idaho on Priest Lake. We shared a dock with the guy next door. He had a wooden boat with a flathead V8 in it with straight pipes coming out the back. I drooled at the sight and sound of that boat!!

Yes, exactly like that! If I did a flathead powered boat it would most likely look more like an open fishing skiff or a 20' Maine lobster boat. I've got enough varnish to contend with already, and this has to be a salt water vessel. Maybe even welded steel hull, just to be different. Hot dipped galvanized in a perfect world! Towing bit in the center for beach logging.
