Default 35-36 sedan delivery

Is the wood covered with tin covers or exposed on the rear door and B pillers of a sedan delivery?
Thanks

It's covered with embossed cardboard. See enclosed specs from DeAngelis book and image from 1935 Dealer Truck Album

Thank you Don. Unfortunately I found out 35-36 passenger car book doesn't cover the sedan delivery when searching through it, I assume the new commercial book will cover it. I see the inside surfaces use the cardboard material but what I am trying to find out is if there are tin plates to cover the wood in the door edge openings / surround of the rear door and B piller?

Yes. there are covers on the B pillar that cover the wood, It has been quite a few years since I've worked on ours BUT I believe they nail in place. I believe yes on the rear door opening too BUT I will have to go over to another storage garage and look for you to be 100% sure on the rear. As I think on it more, yes on the sides of the opening for sure BUT I don't think there was one on the top of the opening.......I think the sides stopped just before the curve of the opening???? Again, I will have to go and look for you to be 100% sure!!!

Thank You rockfla. I thought there should be something covering it on the sides at least. The car is apart and scattered throughout a 5,000 foot warehouse. It's just like a treasure hunt.

Ours is apart too, just not in a 5000sqr foot building, more like a 200 sqr foot garage. Might you have pictures of yours you could share of the inside structure around the rear wheel wells AND under the rear tail panel??? Here is a shot of a 34 I took at the 05 Western National......I know not 35 or 36 BUT you can see the rear opening detail around the latch part of the rear opening, also covered like on the 35/36. Unfortunately I cut the top off not knowing about "details"of which I was more interested in the floor detail!!! Maybe this helps too???

Uncle buck
The ones for the "B" pillar should have the rectangle cut out for the latch mechanism for the doors to shut!!! SO they should be pretty easily identified. Here is our Delivery looking a lot nicer than it is now!!! ALSO "IF" you look at the picture of the rear opening you can see that there is one on the top of the opening as well as the sides!!!! They the B pillar ones and the side rears should also have a "rabbit" in the edges for the thickness of the door to fit in when shut as well IF I remember correctly?

Uncle Buck,
The 1935-1936 Model 51 book only covers the big trucks, not any of the commercial vehicles. I included a small amount of incidental information on the 1-1/2 ton panel trucks as I came across it. The book project was already so big I didn't have the energy or sources of good information to cover the entire panel truck body, the dump truck bodies or the service truck body, so most of the body information relates to the closed cab which doesn't help you.

Uncle Buck - We may be talking about different books. Your last post is a link to the Ford 1935 Truck Dealer Showroom Album. It covers basics for all truck and commercial vehicles Ford made in 1935. I was referring to the 1935-1936 Model 51 Truck book for sale by the Early Ford V8 Club:
https://shop.efv8.org/collections/fo...-shipping-rate
It just became available.

I'm sorry for the confusion. When you mentioned the new club book doesn't cover sedan delivery I thought I would search the "and image from 1935 Dealer Truck Album" that Don mentioned. That turned up a couple on the Bay for sale. The link I listed is for one of those.

No worries. Don's the best source for information on the commercial panel trucks. If you can, visit the Early Ford V8 Museum in Auburn, IN where his 1936 Panel Delivery is on display. It's a wonderfully correct restoration.

Here it is. Some assembly required. Also, can someone please post a picture of what the steel portion of the floor should look like?

This thread on the HAMB has good pics of the Jim McFall sedan delivery, including the rear jamb area.
