The Hudson box is very smooth and steers easy. I am using a 17 inch 39 Banjo wheel and have 500-16 tires on the front.

I have a Hudson box on my roadster. It works great. I have a sideways mounted hybrid 37 style box on my coupe and that is good too. Anything with a roller sector is better than the early boxes.

Good point though, Andy, recirculating ball is better, it was adopted more or less across the board before the move to rack and pinion.

Mart.
