Yes, they would need seat belts, air bags and roll bars. It wouldn't look quite the same.

I suppose the double generator/water pump belts were for reliability. If one broke, you could keep on going.
Was this a common configuration?

Dual belts were on big trucks like this chassis started as. Quite a market for the pulleys and water pumps as people are using them on supercharged flatheads.

The guy writing the ad has a way with words, but doesn't know a 3 1/16" bore from a 3 3/16" bore. Yes Mark you are correct. And it would be a 21 stud at that.

Pickin' Nits are we, Bill? They do look a little ratty, especially the bezels.
