Default the tire "deal"

some of you guys have mentioned that if you buy either 19 tires or 21 tires from summitt, they ship for free

while that is true, you can go on ebay and that deal is there- 4 tires for 396.

here's one better- sign up for a Chase freedom credit card and spend 500. within three months and you get up to 175. as a bonus
(150. for getting the card and 25. for adding your spouse)

I signed up the other day online and it took less then 5 minutes.

so that's a pretty good deal for a set of tires!
so you are paying about 225. for a set................

What brand and size tire is being sold on flea-bay ? Is shipping free and insured?

Pretty soon we may well be shopping at Wallymart for our parts if we dont loyally support our Ford Model A specialty parts companies who have dedicated their livelihoods to assisting us to keeping our beloved "A's" on the road!

Summit has the Firestones http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...5970/overview/
and also Goodrich and Firestone Deluxe...
BUT
Coker makes the Firestones, they are the same price direct from Coker as buying from Summit, sure there is no freight from Summit, but Coker probably has a dealer close to you ,where they can be delivered and probably fitted. Coker also has tubes, wheels, wheelnuts etc etc for your Model A.
In fact Summit probably drop ships from Coker.
I buy direct from Coker , have them delivered to my shipper on the West Coast ,( to go to New Zealand) Coker only charge me $20 a tire and I don't pay any sales tax!!

Not all tires are created equal (you get what you pay for). I have driven Model A's with every tire available now and with 40 year old "good" tires. Save up and buy some Goodyears and see how nice it can drive.

the point wasnt that everyone had to buy 99. tires

the fact is, 175. free towards any tire is a nice welcome bonus. summit just so happens to ship the cheapest tires out there for free and no tax if bought on the internet........
