'35-'36 door sill plate source
Anyone know of another source for '35-'36 Fordor/phaeton rear door sill plates now that Carpenter no longer offers them (or of someone with a spare pair)?
Thanks. |

Re: '35-'36 door sill plate source
David, with as many '35-'36 fordor parts I try to collect, unfortunately, I do not have an extra set of those rear door sill plates, but I'll check with some other sources for you, and I'm 99.99% sure you have already checked with Michael.

David,
When Harvey was working at carpenter's I ask him regarding these. They are discontinued for good, and at this time there are no and has been in recent years no other suppliers for phaeton / 4 door rears. The Conv. Sedans are available are are different.. |

Re: '35-'36 door sill plate source
Michael,
As you probably surmised, I'm searching on behalf of Larry as the originals on my '35 are all saveable. He will make a pair if I come up empty, but it might be easier to modify a pair of the convertible sedan sill plates if they are available. What do you think? David |

Re: '35-'36 door sill plate source
David, I thought he found a pair?
I think the only way the conv sedans will work is to find some one VERY good at tig welding as they are too tall and I think a bit longer |

This should serve to exemplify a point I tried to make in a recent thread. At least now it's known definitively that this particular part has been discontinued, rather than being listed as "BACK ORDERED". Now, returning to our regularly-scheduled programing. DD |
