Default oil funnel for differential

Hello,
I’m new at this Model A stuff. I just spilled more 600 W oil on the garage floor than I got into the differential when trying to fill it. Is there a funnel or something that allows you to get the oil into the upside-down hole?
Thanks.

put a rubber hose over the fill spout on the bottle, get the bottle as high as you can with the fill spout down

I've had good luck with the funnel and hose trick. I put a small funnel into a hose and hold it wherever is convenient. I got a hand pumping transfer pump from Harbor Freight and the oil is too thick.

Good luck!

squeeze bottle..

it comes with a tip (not shown, worked well with my transmission and diff).. You squeeze it, in and out, a little at time to pump in the 600W pancake syrup like oil.

I believe that differential hole is 1/2" NPT...check that, and then go to your Home Depot plumbing department and buy a properly sized "street elbow".
Warm the 600w oil and pour it in slowly, using a funnel; this works very well.

I purchased a screw on hose adapter that fits on my 600W oil bottle. Here is one example. It has an on/off twist.

You do need to make sure the adapter threads match your bottle.

After use, I put the bottle back on the shelf with this hose pointing up so that the thick oil drains back into the bottle. I cover it all with a 1 gallon zip lock bag to keep it clean while it drains.

Don't overfill. Leave the fill plug out of the differential for a while and let any excess drain out.

It also allows you to fill a transmission without having to take the floorboards up to pour the oil in.

I use a suction gun with a flexible hose, works great.
Amazon has them for sale, just search for suction gun.
Mine is older from a garage sale!!

Try a turkey baster. It comes with a squeeze ball, transparent tube and nozzle.

Hi guys, here is what I do, the problem is that the funnel or hose does not allow any air to escape when filling the differential, so I remove one (1) of the top banjo bolts, this then allows the trapped air to escape and the oil flows much quicker.

Helps some to place oil bottle in a bucket of hot water for 10 minutes prior to transfer.

Turkey blaster, Lol... Don't tell the wife you got into her kitchen. :-)

I use a suction gun, but haven't found a good one yet... so I pull the plunger out and fill the tube then reassemble and push the fluid in
