Model A News / Restorer mgazines- back issues.....
Judy & I are in the early stages of packing in preparation for an out of state move.
tonight I packed 22 years of Restorer magazines in a copy paper box, which fits them well but the darned box weighs about 55 pounds. then Judy innocently asks one of those superbly logical questions that wives specialize in: "do you have to keep them?" this gets me to thinking, "how often do I really use these for reference or pleasure reading?" the answer: not very often. I see they do have a market on eBay, but I'm not certain what is the best or most effective way to move them. individual issues are too labor-intensive for me to list & ship. I'm thinking of selling them in one-year groups. we have The Restorer complete from 1986 to present and The Model A News almost complete from 1958 to present with missing issues in some of the early years. also have several years of Model A Times and the MAFFI newsletter. what are your thoughts on the best way to disperse a collection like this? |

Re: Model A News / Restorer mgazines- back issues.....
When someone ask a question here on FB. i do use past issues of both for reference. Just this past few days a question about 1930 sport coupe top[1970] and a question on keys[[1992].Anyone restoring a Model "A' really needs such a collection. I don't know how many times i reach back and look for past info. Did you ask anyone in FL. club or where are you moving too that someone might need such a collection.Sometimes i look back and say WHERE IS THIS CAR TODAY???

"Just curious Chris, where you are moving to?"
Asheville NC area..... "What do you want for all of them??" I have not even counted them yet so I'm not sure how many I have OR what to ask. thinking maybe $2.00 each for pre-1970, $1.00 each for 1970-80, .50 each for 1980 and newer. Last edited by Chris in WNC; 01-04-2011 at 07:14 AM. |
