Default Ford 94 Needle and Seat Reuse?

I am curious. What do you guys think about re-seating the steel needle into the brass seat on these 94/2100 carbs so that the needle/seat could be reused? The ones i remove look just like the new ones i buy. 2-3 light taps with a small hammer and testing with vacuum or pressure is what i am thinking. Anyone doing this? If so,how successful has it been? Thanks to all...jack

This is done very often. As long as theres no groove in the needle it will work. ken ct omo.

On motorcycle brass needle and seats I've used tooth paste to lap in ones that were scratched and stained, but not grooved.
