1st 2 builds & 1st 2 flatheads
I built the coasters in the spring or summer of 1960 at eight years old, over half a century ago. The date on the photos is from when they were developed. Some of you old timers may recognize the wheels, same ones on each car, and the steering wheel on the boat. I got them from my older brother's old car. At around ten years old my dad had a friend weld up the go cart frame, I bolted in the plywood, and he donated a Briggs motor from a garden tiller. The wheels were store bought. At around eleven years old I bought the half midget with money I saved from selling eggs, my dad helped alot with that too, I wanted the money but was lazy. The coaster crashs are accurately, restaged, near fatal crashs. I used to dream of a car with endless forward gears that would accelerate every time I shifted, Craig. PS Any comments welcome, have some fun.
