Default Help with 34 tudor roll up windows

I am replacing glass in the rear of my 34 tudor. Can any one tell me where the channel should sit on the glass? I'm thinking it could change how high the glass will roll up and when it starts to move back for the vent. see pic. Ken

The channel has to be positioned on the glass so that it does not distort the side vertical runs in the extreme top position with the vent open.
