Default 29 Coupe Door Hardware

I recently bought new window risers and for-open handles for my ‘29 Sport Coupe and was quite disappointed in the quality of the parts I received. Both parts are the ‘scroll’ pattern used on Deluxe cars.

The door-open handle is not only less detailed than the original, it is noticeably shorter.

The window riser (crank) has a very significant ridge that runs the full length of the part.

does any current vendor carry parts that are better matches to the original parts ?

Many thanks - Jim

Look at Page 12-11 of the RGJS to identify the correct hardware. Neither handle you picture is correct for the 1929 Sport Coupe.
I agree the reproduction handle you picture appears to be of poor quality. I don't have any insight into where to purchase better quality hardware.

The handle attached to the door in the pic is the original - the other door has an identical one. Much of the car is original since it has been stored for over 40 years, so I suspect the attached handle is what the car came with new.

Thanks - Jim
