Default Sad computer story

I recently fired up my I-pad, that I only use when traveling, well, it wouldn't hold on my e-mails. So I took it in to have it looked at and they found the 'trash bin' was full, so they emptied it and all was well! When I got home I decided to empty all of me e-mails too, because the I-pad doesn't filter things as well as my laptop and much of it was unwanted trash. So ... later in the day I opened my laptop, and guess what? ALL of my emails were gone! Stupid me, I thought such things were in my laptop, not floating around in space! So if any of you have unfinished business with me, please 'reply' to me so I will have all of that in-hand. Thanks!

That happened to me also Jim. I was able to go to my email provider Comcast, and was able to restore everything from my “recently deleted” file on their web site.

You should be able to retrieve them from your "Trash"... unless you emptied your trash file also.

Most email providers nowadays store on a "cloud", not on individual devices. This way you can access all of your emails from mobile devices, or a remote computer such as a library, or friend's house, etc. If you delete from one device, it will delete from the "cloud". There are ways to retrieve emails even if you wiped out your trash file. As suggested in a previous post, contact your provider and see what they can do. There may be hope.

I also suggest you contact your IP, internet provider.

I use the "cloud" on my laptop because it is old and doesn't have enough memory to store all my stuff. However, I also back up to a memory stick.

Hi Jim.
I have a suggestion for you. Next time you need help with your computer drive into town and find a kid. These little fellows are easy to find. They will have their cap turned around, that is facing backwards. They will also have pimples one their face, long hair and probably be on a skate board. They will be aged 8 to 12 and have their knees protruding from their jeans. Not wear but intentional cuts with a blade.

You will find they are a wealth of knowledge and because of their appearance you will be pleased they are someone else’s kid.

I think you can connect devises like yours is. My iPad and phone both get email at the same time, but I have to look and delete on each device.

A very accurate description of modern day youths. You didn't include metal body piercings, so maybe the youths in Australia still have hope? In the U.S... not so much.

We have kids with body piecing here too Stickshift, Some look like they have fallen face first into a fishing tackle box. Some start early, see the baby below. We also have kids with tattoos. Another picture below. Aren't you so pleased she is not your daughter.

Yowza! These kids will be running the country in 25 years! I guess they said the same thing about the "Hippies" in the 1960's. (LOL). Face tattoos are always a bad idea. Well, I guess we're off-subject but all we can do is hope and pray for today's kids.
