Default Wiring distributor for start up

I am getting ready to start up a model A engine that has been sitting for awhile,
What is the easiest way to get power to the distributor? ( I do not have a pop out switch yet) Do I need to get the A11575 J ignition cable ? Thanks in advance for the help.

A simple no cost method:
Attach a wire with a connector to the curve plate mounted on top of the lower plate inside the distributor. There should be hole in the curved piece where it can be attached with a small screw and nut. Run the wire out through the large tapped hole in the side of the distributor to one side of your key switch or you can use a simple single throw toggle switch. Connect another wire to the other side of switch and connect it to the + terminal on the coil. This is assuming you are using a (+) positive ground. Run another wire from the (-) terminal on the coil to a (-) terminal connected to the battery or the starter motor connection.

and here's a diagram, just a wire from live battery to coil then a wire from coil to points If you use a croc clip on one of the wires it'll be easier to stop it once it's started!

Even better, one of these with the alligator clip. Just connect it to the + side on your coil and screw into side of distributor, bypassing the switch. https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/s...ht=jumper+wire
