Default Ribbed Instrument Panel & Round Speedo-start date

I'd love to know if anyone knows when in 1930 the round speedometer and ribbed instrument were introduced. The J.S.book just says "mid-1930." I'm just curious to learn if anyone can be more precise. Thanks.

The transition was June 1930. The new commercial bodies were introduced late in the month and all had the new instrument panel.

My June 1930 150-B (beginning of the new body style) has the ribbed panel.

Were the early ones brass, or were they mixed in with later production?

The records suggest they were supplemental in early '31 but I believe they were earlier. They were only a percentage of production concurrent with the steel panels.

I ahve wondered if these brass panels were used for open car applications only, or used at random?
