Thr-out bearing/retainer?
Hi,
Does anyone know if I can get a USA made T/O bearing with retainer for a 39 trans? If anyone has a part number for Napa that would be great. Thanks |

Re: Thr-out bearing/retainer?
The bearing might be available from NAPA but the hub won't be. Most early Ford parts vendors carry the hub & bearing and the little return spring. Mac's, C&G, Mac VanPelt, Job Lot, the list goes on & on. The hub is a P/N 48-7561 and the bearing is a B7580

Re: Thr-out bearing/retainer?
Unless someone has a stray NOS release bearing laying around (BCA...Fed-Mogul....National...Ford....etc) you'll have to make do with an imported bearing these days. We carry some of the cheap import bearings to compete with the other guys on the package (bearing + hub) but I've always kept the Fed-Mog release bearing in stock for most sales. This bearing used to be USA made, then it went to Mexico, then production ended up in China. I will say this.....the quality is good (definitely better than the usual import release bearings).

Re: Thr-out bearing/retainer?
Early Ford Store in San Dimas,CA Has excellent USA made throwout bearings for $25ea.He also has good used original hubs.Ph 909-305-1955.Don't waste your time at NAPA,I did and they have nothing for that application.Speedway provided one with the T5 bellhousing kit they sell and so far its working fine.
