Default 49 Ford rear axel vent

I have the rear axel vent out of my 49. It is probably the first removal since new. It was really crudded up. Should i be able to blow through it or does it take a certain amount of pressure? Thanks.

On my '51, it was just a metal cap crimped over a hollow bolt and flowed freely. If yours is that crudded up, I'd suggest soaking it for a while and the use a piece of wire to clean it out through the threaded end of the hollow bolt.

Thanks for the reply tubman. I finally got it to work. Lots of carb cleaner and a pick. First time messing with one of these.
