Default help with choke rod/GAV adjuster

My new-to-me '31 pickup (my first Model A) is missing several parts (washers, grommets, etc.) for the choke/GAV rod. I have ordered the kit of these parts from Bert's, but I have no idea of the correct order/orientation of the parts. Could someone please point me to a drawing or include a photo of the parts installed correctly?

This is a great forum and I have been able to make many repairs on the basis of information found here. Many thanks to all for this invaluable resource.

From Bratton's web site;

4 pieces. The donut shape lower grommet fits on the firewall (Ford never used this one, but some restorers want it) and the upper grommet fits in the ring under the gas tank. The leather cupped grommet goes on the engine side of the firewall followed by the metal cup washer in front of the spring. Paint washer black.

Call Bratton at 800-255-1929 and ask them to send you one of their catalogs. Their catalogs are full of drawings of numerous assemblies, including the Zenith carburetor. The catalog is free.

Walt, I'm going to stick my nose into this and suggest you get a copy of
Les Andrews book for all things Model A. Most Model A stores sell it, or can
tell you where to get it. I'm only thinking that since you just have two
posts, perhaps you aren't aware of this book. I apologize if I am wrong, don't
mean to insult anyone here. By the way, Walt, how about posting a picture
of your ride and let us know a bit about yourself. Tell us what part of the
world you live in. There are a lot of folks all over the globe on this forum that
will be eager to help you with your car, just let us know where you are!

On the steel sleeve, the flared end goes against the spring and the straight end against the carb.

I read this about 20 minutes ago. I'm still amazed, I've run mine backwards since 1996. I've always ran mine with the flare toward the carburetor. Learn something new everyday. I guess it does make more sense the flare would catch the spring instead of the carb control.

Thanks so much to all who replied. I have ordered the Bratton catalog, and already had one of the Les Andrews books, so I feel I'm already on the way to understanding this "simple" car. Thanks again!
