Default 1949 Ford club coupe

Anybody know where I can buy a wiring harness, from under dash out to the V 8 engine?

The shoebox Ford sources likely have them. Rhode Island Wire should as well. Wiring for these and other antique cars are generally sold as separate harnesses anyway. FMC used the large multiple socket terminal blocks close to the system components with multiple connections. I use a home built tool to wedge each socket open enough to withdraw the bullet type male connector pins. They will have these terminal blocks under the dash to connect the under hood harness to the dash harness components They also use them close to the front lights and horn with the cross over harness and separate light harnesses and horn harness.

There will be a harness for each separate subsystem. To replace everything in a car, a person needs multiple harnesses. None of the sources sell a complete kit. A person has to order all the different harnesses by separate part numbers. Most of the original type harnesses are made by a company up in Oregon named Bauer Electronics. Rhode Island Wire makes the best original types but the price is higher.

I think this is what you're looking for:

One of these is a big help. Very easy to read.

I used the wiring harnesses from Dennis Carpenter on my 42 Ford project. For the most part very well made and the diagrams were very easy to follow. Nice original look.
