Default Red's headers on a 49 club coupe ford

What is the secret on installing a dual exhaust system, on a 49 Ford, without cutting frame or crossmember? Club coupe

Generally, cutting cross members etc. is part of the equation.

About 25 years ago, I put an 276" 8CM in my '36 3-window coupe, using Fenton headers. I was able to construct a full 2" dual exhaust system all the way back using straight pipe, stock mandrel bends, my MIG welder, and a pipe bender just like the one pictured below. I didn't have to cut any frame members or any other part of the car. It took a long time, but turned out great!

I know, I know, I found out later that the 2" was overkill and even deadens the sound, but I sure was proud when I was done.

I have used Reds on a 52 & 53 Ford & they fit GR8. They build to fit from my experience. Call them ......

I am putting dual exhaust in my '51 Tudor, and as I did on a previous '51 I will be replicating the hole in the cross member on the passenger side for the original single exhaust,.. on the driver side. Other than that it's pretty wide open under there.

I used Red's headers and exhaust pipes on my '49 club coupe no cutting was required. left side exhaust pipe took some tweaking to clear the brake pedal and the clutch equalizer but otherwise no problems.
