Default Time to take the 49 F1 to town for fuel

My truck needs gas so I drive in to town and fill it with yummy ethanol free. I find that the gas price has dropped from $3.79 a gallon to $2.69. I've got 500 miles on the rebuild and want to change the oil too.

The "bumper cam" part near the end made my day, Art! Sounds great! Thanks for taking us for a ride. Looked like the perfect day to go for a spin.

The Regular there was $1.69 a gallon.

Maybe I'll have to get dual exhaust on her some day.

I enjoyed that, Art.

The exhaust does sound nice. I quite like a single exhaust.

Thanks Art! That was fun. I recognized your neighborhood right away, and your truck looks and sounds great. Shifts nice too with that synchro trans you installed. Our gas on the island went down a buck too, now it's only 3.25 !

Hi GB, you guys close the ferry to keep the riff-raff of the island? Ever use that 4-speed or parts of it? I had to pull my 3-speed out last summer as it stuck in high gear. I had good used parts that fixed it right up. I still need a proper shifter lever for it, pretty sure the one on it is from an early car. For me, driving these old rigs is all about the sights, sounds, and even the smells!

Thanks Mart. I'm looking forward to you being able to get something out on the road again.

Thanks Ron. She's finally to "daily driver" status but not nightly yet. Still needs headlight wiring. Window regulators need some attention too. The pictures make it look nicer than it really is, but with that said she's a honest old girl that runs, steers, and stops really well. She came off a farm in Eastern Oregon where it's dry, so minimal rust problems. But she was "farmer fixed" from one end to the other. I bet I pulled 30 feet of bailing wire out of it.

Very nice truck! What are you running for exhaust? Sounds really good. I was thinking of running just a straight pipe on my car.

The stock setup that Mac's sells, and a $20 glass-pack from O'reilly's.

Much better than watching my neighbors do 'static cooling tests' on their motorbike. Sounds 100 times better too.

Sure we can stop, but you're buyin'

It's got those 52-53 Ford car "dog-dish" all the way around with 1980 Ford E-150 van wheels. Soon she'll be getting her stock 15x5's with "innies" hubcaps back in place.
