pressure test 21 stud
Being lazy here and not digging out my pressure test equipment to see if it fits. So, are there enough common stud holes to get a good seal with a 24 stud pressure test block?

Hey Hombre
Could you put a head on and check that way? Making the assumption that the block is empty of all internals, of course. Big K |

Kahuna, so good to hear from you. I've been so worried about you!
*inside joke***** How am I going to spray soapy water around the valve seats to make sure there are no cracks? But, you gave me an idea. I will see if I can get an old 21 stud head gasket to use as a pattern to get a pressure top cut out. |

Re: pressure test 21 stud
How about taking an old head and cut holes over each cylinder? Make a gasket with no water holes and you have your test plate.

Hit up a High School Industrial Arts teacher. Scout him out on the web. A LOT of those guys are on the take. His scrap plate or yours. The plus is you'll contribute to some student's vocational experience which is always a nice good deed.

Re: pressure test 21 stud
I currently only have one 21 stud head for this prospective engine. I have a lead on another in the swapmeet section. So, 21 stud heads are a little more scarce than 24 types so I don't have any extras to be cutting up. I like your suggestion, Lonnie, and thanks to all for the others.
