35 or 36 Aluminum manifold on stock 59ab
Have a 35-36 stock aluminum manifold on a stock 59ab. Was wondering if it flows as well as a 59ab cast manifold? Thanks for the information. Ron

Re: 35 or 36 Aluminum manifold on stock 59ab
I don't know about flow, but the Fordbarn guys will tell you need a different, (shorter) fuel pump pushrod. I have used one on my test stand for breaking in a 59L, and it worked fine, and was lighter to boot. One issue I did find with it is the mount for the generator put the generator to far up in the air, and that why you find many of those manifolds with welded sections in the fornt because of the stress from the generator weight and fan belt tension. The cast iron 59 one mounts the generator about 1" lower.
