Default 1936 tools

On cars with a trunk were the larger tools somehow secured in the trunk so they wouldn't roll around or slide as you drove? I know the smaller tools are in a pouch but the pouch could also slide around.

My 36 Tudor has cavities for tool storage. A wood panel covers the cavities. When I bought the car the owner never knew they were because the mat covered the panels
