B motor

I need a little knowledge here .
Looking at a motor guy said it’s Dated Dec 1931 .
Everything thing I read Ford started production in March of 1932 . Is there some early / rare model B motor that came out prior to that date ?

The motors started in about November 1931, the date you have is for the complete vehicles.

Production line engines didn't have a date on them or a serial number stamped into them. Post production had a date cast in. Can he send you a picture of the date you can post?

I assume this number was stamped on the bell housing and not on the engine. There is a large possibility that the bell housing did not come on the engine from the factory and thus there is no way to identify the date of the engine. Is there any reason you are trying to date the engine?
