Default An Ordinary Adventure

I got this book for Christmas (which we celebrated a little early this year):

An Ordinary Adventure: My Mother on the Mother Road https://smile.amazon.com/dp/17186947..._xoF5FbV1YE3ZR

I really enjoyed reading it, so much so that I read the entire book in a single sitting. You might enjoy it as well.

We tend to be spoiled with high speed Interstate transportation and franchised hotels and restaurants. It was interesting to read about what was available on the Mother Road in 1934 as well as what is still available on some sections of the road in present day.

There is an article in the Nov/Dec issue of the restorer magazine by this author (Diane Wood) and is an interesting read...

An article about this adventure also appeared in the July 2020 newsletter publication of the Victoria Association. It is attached.

Actually, that may have been the first place I heard about the book. Thanks for sharing, Tom. I always enjoy your articles.

Having driven Route 66 and driven thousands of miles on long tours, That sounds to me like a great read. Thanks for posting.
