Ford Model A Detail Picture Community
I am sure that a lot of us Model A Enthousiasts are helped with goog pictures showing in detail what we want to see. Good pictures can help to understand what is behind the upholstery, behind the dash etc.
I have started a Facebook Community for us all. I am hoping that we all are willing to share our detail pictures with other Model A Enthousiasts. I am planning to make Albums for every Model A Body Type. Please share your views on this subject with me. The URL to the Facebook Community is: https://www.facebook.com/1928-1931-F...6707161069071/ |

Re: Ford Model A Detail Picture Community
Sounds like a great idea, ... unfortunately many of us do not do facebook for security reasons.
I tried to look around some but was relentlessly asked to join with pop-ups blocking most of the content. Is there a setting on your side that allows visitors without having to join facebook? Regards Bill |

Re: Ford Model A Detail Picture Community
Ford1930,
Here is a link to my Pinterest page. There are 900+ photos of only stock mid-1930 to 1931 Closed Cab Pickups. Feel free to use any of those photos for your facebook page. https://www.pinterest.com/oldodgeboy...rd-model-aa-p/ Oh, by the way, I'm from The Netherlands too (Delft Holland), but I've been a USA convert since the age of 6.

Re: Ford Model A Detail Picture Community
OK Bill explain that one. I admin over 19,000 members on facebook and the head admin for the MARC facebook page. I admin 7600+ users there alone and FB is one of the safest most secure social media site out there with over 10,0000 users. I have not yet heard of any of my users having a security issue since 100% of your entire posts you can set your own security on...

Re: Ford Model A Detail Picture Community
And what do you think happens with what you post on forums or anywhere else on the internet ? If you put something on the internet (facebook or whatever) is visible for anyone, and that anyone can do anything with with your information. If you want to be safe throw away your computer. Because even with what you are watching ( or surfing) they know where you are, what your interests are, etc...

Re: Ford Model A Detail Picture Community
WAY DIFFERENT Beast,
Facebook and such are on a different planet compared to forums. For surfing the net, ... I use browsers that are incognito. Forum's that I post to are specific content like this one, ... very little personal history info is posted and forums such as this don't care about my info. If you Google the subject, it would be explained better than I can give you here. LOT'S of info about it if one just has a look. I'm not telling anyone not to be on facebook, ... that's one's own personal decision to make. If the day ever comes, at least I can still claim my right to privacy. There are some legal beagles that say your right to privacy is greatly reduced if you have your life posted daily on sites like facebook AND twitter and all the rest of those types of apps. Re: Ford Model A Detail Picture Community
What about giving your Detail Pictures of YOUR Model A's to the Community? Then YOU help other Model A Enthousiasts. You will be a good example to them all! If YOU are SUSPICIOUS what are you doing here on this Forum?

I to have a little tie into the Netherlands in that my Dad was born in Jisp. But your idea of posting pictures is great. Facebook is a good as anywhere and easy to use. If people don't want to use it, so be it! So go for your idea and see what will happen.
