Default Jim Brierely"s Book

I received the book yesterday and I am very impressed over the amount of information that is shown threw out the book. I thought I had some ideas that I was going to do to my engine now I have a better course of action. Thanks Dave

I've never heard of this book. How did it change your mind on the path you were going to take? Where did you get the book?

I'm quite sorry about my spelling if you find humor in it so be it I find your response to be quite childish. I was simply endorsing a well thought out instruction manual to help with the many secrets that builders do to their engines so people like me can carry out in my machine shop because anyone can pay someone to do the work but it is at a different level when you do the work your self.

Sorry I upset you. I was just trying to have some fun. God only knows we could use some in these troubled times. Obviously I missed my mark.

I had to read it several times too, before it made sense to me.

And Dave, just because you take one to a shop that is supposed to know doesn't mean they do.

A little knowledge can save you lots of money and heartache.

I heard about Jim’s book when I joined the Barn in 2014. Couldn’t wait so I drove 30 miles down to Temecula to get it, and Jim gave me a tour of his cars which was a bonus.

My wife’s 30 Roadster is a real project with a lot of mismatched and missing parts. She wanted to restore it back to original and I wanted to make it a hot rod with a flat head V-8. We reached a compromise, I bought her a restored ‘29 Roadster for Valentine’s Day in 2014 and she agreed I could do what I want with the ‘30 Roadster.

After reading the book, I realized I could make a 4 Banger much easier than a V-8 and, more than likely, have just as much fun.
