Default Fuel pump , glass bowl on top , what year?

When I got my 47 I noticed it did not have the stock fuel pump. It is in the stock location , but the fuel pump has the glass bowl on top of the pump. Wondering if anyone is familiar with these & could provide some information about this type of pump.

47,
Might be one of a bunch I built on request. Uses a Chevy top mated
to a Ford base. All AC parts. Seems self priming is less of an issue, not sure.
These tops have various inlet and outlet locations which can make piping a
multi carb setup easier.

Charlie ,
Are rebuild parts available for this pump.
If I was to get a new pump , would the stock 47 fuel pump work on my 3 x 2 intake.
What fuel pump are others using on mulitple carb intakes

47,
A stock fuel pump will work just fine, glass bowl style or non glass bowl.
The bowl on top pump you have does not pump any better ( or worse ) than the
more familiar Ford pumps.
I seem to remember 2 years ago at Hershey I sold the rest these pumps
and the thing the guys liked was the placement of the inlet and outlet, as I recall
it was nearly 180 degrees opposite. The original request was from a mate 'down
under' who thought the bowl on top would aid in starting after a lengthy shut down.
