Default Spare Parts

Working on my '48 F1 Panel Truck again - finally. A long term project that's been going on way too long. Over the years I've bought a lot of parts for it and stored everything inside the back. Decided to empty it out and take inventory. Along with all the new rubber window/door seals, tail lights, mirrors, and a bunch of other parts I found several duplicates, body mounting blocks, head light doors, dummy side hood release trim, and a few others.

I think from now on I'll keep a list of parts bought and tape it to the side of the project. The good news is I found my third, and best, Canadian Mercury grille and hood trim in it. Christmas in August I guess.

Gearhead, I agree on the fender trim. I'm using the grille, Mercury hood side emblems, and M-47 cowl badges, and maybe the Mercury head flat emblem between the hood release handles. That's enough. Also mounting '47-'48 passenger car round parking lights in the lower outside corners of the grille cavity. The only other outward change is '47 - '48 passenger car bumpers front and rear. Oh and '50 Mercury wheels and hubcaps.

Lee
All that stuff is too good for a panel truck, should go on a F1.

Ha - duplicate parts means you have your own "parts store" to select parts from! Glad you a e back on it ... keep us posted on your progress!
