Don’t need to with the new FordBarn! When making a message/response
1. click on the ‘go advanced” bar at the lower right
2. write what you want in text box
3. click on “paper clip” icon at the top of the box .. this will take you to an ‘attachment’ page
4. to the right of each white boxes, click on ‘browse’ button … this will let you navigate around to where your image is located on your computer/thumb drive (these will be your original .jpgs, etc) (no need to create .html code anymore!)
5. click on the image you want to attach to your thread … you can add several, but each must be in its own white box
6. when you have added all the pix you want, click on ‘upload’ button
7. after a few seconds, you will ‘close’ this little pop up page (red x or ‘close this page’)
8. to see what your thread will look like, click on ‘preview post’
9. edit as necessary or add/delete photos, etc
10. when you have it the way you want, click on ‘submit reply’
11. viola!!

I set the cursor under the picture(s) I want to post. Click on the box that appears so a check mark will be in the box. Then drop down to the bottom of the page and click on "CHOOSE ACTION" and a drop down menu will appear. Click on "GENERATE CODES FOR SELECTED". After the codes appear click on the 4th box down. This will be the "full size" under the heading "IMG for bulletin boards & forums". As soon as you put the cursor in the 4th box down and click, the codes will be copied. Now go to FORDBARN and do a "PASTE" inside the message box.

By using this method the picture appears without having to click on it to make it larger.

Happy picture posting and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!

Always did it the way Charles says to and worked like a dream UNTIL I wanted to put some pics of my A at my sons wedding in a album on my Biography page here, was going nuts turned out the pics were to big pixel wise from the photographer resized them and presto.

For photobucket, once I have the photo that I want:

1) I double click on the photo

2) To the right of the photo it says "Share this photo"

3) Right click on the code you want copied, I use the img code

4) Once you have clicked on the code it will flash yellow and say "copied"

5) Left click in the message you are typing and click paste

Another way is to use this website:
http://www.tinypic.com/
Upload your photo, copy the "IMG" link, then paste it into the text of a message.
Works like a champ on pretty much every message board, including here.

What a great tool. I am impressed. I think I have seen a tool similar to this used to insert the cork in a wine bottle.

Thanks Tom. I don't want to hijack the thread but here are a couple of more photos of the spring compressor. If anybody wants to see more photos of the spring compressor I will start a seperate thread. The biggest problem that I had with the other spring compressors that I have had and used was the simple fact that there ws no real solid way to hold the transmission tower. With this, it's good for disassemby and reassembly, no worries about possibly scratching fresh paint or plating.

That guy in the photo in the back is me almost 30 years ago.

The compressor mounts over the edge of the bench so the gearshift clears.

This holds the gearshift so it doesn't fall out, the pipe insulation protects the bell.

Seems a long way around in photobucket.

If you just place mouse over pic for a second, an IMG box appears under.

Simply click that once.

It says copied.

Photobucket has always been a problem for me. So I tried the new and improved version. Went to my album placed cursor over pic then right clicked the IMG box then left clicked and selected copy. then off to ford barn and select advanced. left clicked and paste and here it is.

Will this work if you want to post multiple photos from the same photobucket page?

I still don't know how to post multiple photos from DIFFERENT pages into the same message, unless I go back to my message and "EDIT" then paste the other picture codes from a different page in "Photobucket".

Yeh Tom.

In photobucket...

hover over pic for a second, an IMG box will appear lower right.

Left click once on and it will fade in and out copied (no need to right click or double click or anything).

Come to ford barn and paste IMG in.

Don't post quick reply yet.

Go back to photobucket, do same .

Back to ford barn and paste in again.

etc etc etc .

Then post quick reply with all your pics in the one post.

That's a lot of switching back and forth, so I guess I'll keep doing it the way I posted. Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

Much easier than editing the post each time to add a new pic.
