Default Where or what a the difference in 35 sedan Vs Coupe rear fender

Is the difference in 35 sedan Vs coupe fenders in the inner width of the fenders where they mount to the body, is it in the shape of the wheel arch/opening OR is it both?? OR phrased another way…..IS it possible to make a sedan fender fit a coupe with some modifications IF need be???

To make a sedan fit a coupe,a strip had to be added on the body side. It starts out wider in the center by 1.25" and tapers towards the front and the back.I have done it.

Thank for the help guys, Sheldon I "think" strongly it will take a sedan fender after looking at the above post again.

Another important difference (if you try to convert a sedan fender to coupe) is that the sedan fender is taller by about 1" from the bottom of the fender to the top dead center. Just complicates things the better you try to make the fender.

My 35 coupe right rear fender is a sedan fender. They cut the original fender about 4 inches from the body and grafted on the sedan fender.
The mounting holes for the sedan fender can still be seen underneath the seam overlap. It was all leaded in A’s well. It’s not a straight cut either, it moves toward the body as it goes back.

And it does not look that bad if done properly.
