Re: Front brake adjuster question
The threads in the backing plate that Ford put in must have been to a different standard because a modern 5/8-18 bolt will not go in. If you installing a Flat Head Ted kit you must re-tap the threads.

Re: Front brake adjuster question
We have a car in my shop that the brake components are so badly rusted we are having real problem getting anything apart and cleaned up to rebuild. The brake pins and rollers are even frozen solid.
Thank You!!

Dragging my foot slows the car down more than standing on the brake pedal.

Re: Front brake adjuster question
Soaking in lacquer thinner, then penetrating oil, then using heat.
I lived in Asheville for 20 years.

Re: Front brake adjuster question
Asheville is a great town. My wife and I love it. For those who do not know, it is a mountain community with lots of resident artists. There are some very interesting art galleries in town and some great restaurants. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asheville,_North_Carolina
