1965 Mustang signal lights
My right signal lights flash as they should. However, the left side (front and rear) come on but do not flash. What could be the cause. Thanks

Re: 1965 Mustang signal lights
If you have a 2 wire signal flasher they are load sensitive. One bulb may have a poor connection or be a similar bulb that has a different resistance/current rating.
Also check for corrosion of the signal light socket & its mounting screws, a poor electrical ground. |

Re: 1965 Mustang signal lights
New bulbs and four way flashers work fine. Left signal lights burn brightly but will not flash. Right ones work just fine. Still a mystery.

Re: 1965 Mustang signal lights
Just a thought but just a few years ago, CHI-COM 1157 BULBS SLOPPY COPIES were coming in. The two contact on the bottom of the bulbs would not make full contact with the lamp socket. Swap bulbs around.
It has been been mentioned previously, but a bad turn signal switch can give the same results. Have you tried checking socket continuity with a test light?

Re: 1965 Mustang signal lights
The first thing I would do is, rule out the flasher. Even if it works on the right side. Your car has two flashers turn signals and four way, flip them. The turn signal is on the drivers side air vent and the four way is near the glove box. One more thing are you using any led bulbs?

If the indicator bulb is led that would be your problem.

Re: 1965 Mustang signal lights
If your car is a GT that would change my earlier reply on the indicator, because you have two.
