Re: swap ads
Sometimes life gets in the way, or they visit the site, once or twice a week. Lots of reasons to not immediately respond to an ad.

Re: swap ads
I’ve posted before about the “wanted” advertisers not responding after contacting them.
Basically, I give up on the swap section. Actually, I have more that people need than vice-versa. So heck with it! |

Re: swap ads
He doesn't have enough posts to send or receive private messages.
He's been a member for 11 years with non-generic personal info in his profile. I think it is legit and he may not know about the post count requirement for messages.

Re: swap ads
wrote his email 2x Randy. Like Blueoval says- why bother?
if in fact he cant respond because of low useage-then as Big hammer says why no phone # proper other email etc. in the end, a waste of everyones time. what would make more sense, is not being able to place an ad wo that info. anyway, totally done with the swap section- buying or selling. |

Re: swap ads
Not for nothing! If that's pile of rust is worth $3000 (although if I had it, that's about what I'd be asking too) then my Town Sedan has got to be worth the $ 9,750 I'm asking. Yeah, Yeah, I know , "Rare Body style!" And I'm saying New wood, new Engine And new paint!
And a Town Sedan is not exactly a Tudor. Oh well! I'll sit on it till inflation catches up, which shouldn't be long! Terry |

Not saying this is necessarily the case in this one, but IMO the reason for lack of communications on so many of these is because there is no 'cost' to place an advertisement on social media sites or free forums. If most of these 'offenders' actually had to pay money to place such an advertisement, things would likely be different and communications would be much better. Remember when Hemmings and such used to charge by the word for an advertisement to be listed. Wasn't it something like 25¢ per word in the ad?? A FWIW, since I am gearing up to reproduce wood for the 150B, I was also interested in this albeit the transportation distance was going to be a struggle. |
