HELP Multi disc clutch removal
I am trying to remove the clutch from a multi-disc clutch. I have the nut off and the clutch will slide out about 2 inches (past the point where the splines are engaged) and then it stops. Is there something I have to remove to get it to slide off all the way? I tried yanking it off but that did not work. Help.

Re: HELP Multi disc clutch removal
Here are pictures of the clutch seated all the way in and a picture of how far I can slide it out before it just stops.

Solved
The problem was a mushroomiing of the shoulder on the spine shaft that holds the back end of the clutch. It was about 0.004" bigger in diameter than the rest of the shaft. At the throw out bearing end of the clutch there is a about a 1/8" ridge in the inside of the clutch sleeve. When the ridge got to the mushroomed section it hung up. It took a lot of wiggling but I finally got the clutch off the shaft. I filed down the mushroomed area and it now slides off and on easily. There is a picture here but some of you may not see it. I do not know why.
