Default 1930 standard roadster top

Does anyone have photos of irons with wood on car, no top? Trying to figure out how to assemble and what holds irons to wood? Screws or rivets and what size? Rebuilding my top. Thanks for any input

I won't be home for another couple weeks so I can't take a look for you, but, I took some pics years ago for someone.
I don't know if they will help, but, PM an email address and maybe I can figure out how to send them to you. Computers and I do not get along well together.
I tried to figure how to post them here, but, it hasn't worked.
I'm assuming a 31 std top is the same. At least I think its a std top.

From what I can see in the pics, the wood is fastened with screws. Thats all I say right now.

This video may show what you want. I put a new top on my roadster in Feb and made a 8 min video of it. I did a rough job, but the first time is always tough. Will do my friend's car in May. Also, watch the lebaron bonney video on this subject.
I can steer you away from some of the problems I had, so contact me.

I couldn't find any pics of the standard top bows but they are very simple. As far as wood installation, they were fastened with 3/16" semi-tubular rivets. The heads face the top or outside and neither side leaves a discernible hump in the covering.

I couldn't find a sample for the proper length but you need about 3/16" protruding after clamping the bow socket tightly around the wood. The pic below was snagged from Snyder's web site. I don't recall if these front floor board rivets are the correct length but the rivets are otherwise the same.
