Default Quick fix axle seal

I know this is not the proper fix but pulling the rear end apart is just not an option for me right now. Other projects call and it is spring. I found an old thread with a number for a seal and cross referenced it to this National number. It fit nice and I think it will do the job until next winter when I`ll do the inner axle seals. I could have put two seals on each side. Here are some pictures. Hope this may help someone. thumbnail_image0 (1).jpg

I just did some measuring and while these may fit the axle housings shown, I do not think they will fit the Pilot/35/36 type housings. The spec for the seal shows an OD of 1.375".
the bore of my Pilot casings are 1.327.
I have ordered some and they are on their way. I don't think they will work for me. I should have measured before ordering.
Can anyone confirm the 40 type axles casings have a bore of 1.375"? or is the axle in the above photo a one-off?
Mart.

I wasn't aware of the National - thanks for the tip. I used these Tru-Torque F-7 things as a quick fix just recently, but my expectations are low.

I have put 500 miles on the car with the national seals installed. Working great.
