We all know what can happen to original sheet metal fans that rust internally, these radius rods are potentially the same consideration.

At the 2014 national meet in puyallup, a guy came in with a broken rear radius rod (quite rusted), caused from one of those clamp on the radius rod shock mounts. SOOo, if a pot hole can break a radius rod, then they they aren't that strong. I know they bend easy, that's for sure.
