Default In the Torque Tube . . .

At the front of the torque tube, behind the speedometer drive gear, there is a roller bearing and the bearing sleeve and a seal. The seal seems to be held in place by the bearing sleeve.

I need to change the seal. What method do you use to remove the seal and the bearing sleeve?

I appreciate your suggestions.
Thanks,
Steve

I use a drive shaft I have with bad threads on the end and a socket that will just fit on the splined end of the drive shaft and drive them out by tapping the drive shaft on a hard surface. Works nearly every time. Rod

In case it wasn't clear, what Rod is describing is coming in from the back side and pushing out the seal which of course also pushes out the sleeve.

Rod and Marco,

I employed your method - It work well and nothing was damaged in the process. I used a length of pipe rather than a old drive shaft.
Now a new seal and we're back in business!

Thank you both.
